At a chance auction, a collector discovered what would prove to be a music-archaeological treasure: a manuscript from around 1470 long thought lost. The so-called Leuven Chansonnier contains unique pieces not preserved in any other sources - melodies that have been silent for over five hundred years.
The critically acclaimed ensemble AnonymA (Sollazzo), founded in 2014 by Anna Danilevskaia and specializing in late medieval and early Renaissance music, presents in this concert a selection of the collection’s most intimate and expressive songs, where the coded language of love meets reflections on fate, solitude, and the human condition.
