Ahead of the world premiere of C. M. Bellman’s singspiel The Temple of Bacchus (Bacchi tempel) on Sweden’s National Day, EMS invites you to an inspiring panel discussion on this, his work from 1783. The latest musicological findings concerning Bacchi Tempel will be presented by the internationally renowned Bellman scholar James Massengale and literary scholar Lars Lönnroth. Jennie Nell, Chair of the Swedish Bellman Society, will discuss the work from cultural and literary perspectives, while Bellman interpreter Martin Bagge contributes artistic insights.
