December is approaching, and it’s time for yet another enchanting edition of the long-awaited SEMF Christmas Edition. After a challenging autumn for cultural life in general and for EARLY MUSIC SWEDEN’s activities in particular, we invite you on December 7, 2024, to a frosty evening in the wonderful setting of the German Church, where international and Swedish musicians will set the tone for an “early” Christmas. EMS thanks everyone who made this possible!
The twelfth edition of the SEMF Christmas Edition presents an exclusive guest performance by Czech multi-instrumentalist ANNA FUSEK along with the ensemble La Misticanza in “Sparkling Spumante!” – an Italian-English Christmas baroque cavalcade. Enjoy Swedish folk music dating back to the 14th century as the closely harmonized voices of the vocal trio Irmelin illuminate the dark hours. As tradition dictates, the festival concludes with an intimate Early Late Night Concert, where attendees can relax on mattresses and be rocked into a soothing atmosphere. Guest organist is the young Croatian talent Mladen Bonomi.
