Anders Ericson: The Swedish Lute - anno 1796

A Swedish lute - what is it? The skilful lutenist Anders Ericson is the first performer to reintroduce this hybrid instrument between baroque lute and guitar, which was very popular in Stockholm 1780-1830. After 200 years, you finally get the chance to experience a forgotten musical treasure and unique repertoire from a peculiar sounding body!

Works by Mozart, Edelmann, Weigl, Haydn and Wikmanson.

The disc release of ‘Solo Pieces for Lutha’ will take place in connection with the concert.
